Hi everyone, I’m here to share some sad news. Going straight to the point: unfortunately, and with a heavy heart, Forgotten Pathways will have to be abandoned.
I know this is frustrating for those who were waiting, especially since I had announced just over two months ago that I’d return in January. That truly was my plan. I have over 1400 renders ready, dozens of animations, and countless hours of work, but I won’t be able to continue.
Unfortunately, I’m going through some changes in my life that prevent me from moving forward. I can’t share details about what’s happening, but for the sake of my health, I need to focus on my personal and professional life.
I want to thank everyone who supported and believed in this project. I was incredibly happy working on it, and I’m so grateful for the time you spent playing it. I'm also sorry for all the mistakes I made that could have been avoided if I had been more careful in the beginning.
To all the patrons, I have immense gratitude. It’s people like you who allow new devs to keep working on their projects and maybe even focus on it professionally someday.
Developing FP was the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, and I’m sorry for not being able to continue.
Ps. I’ll keep the discord server and the patreon account active for a few more days so everyone has a chance to read this.
Finally, a last render to wish you all a great christmas and new year. May this season bring you wonderful moments <3

Damn, it's fine fam we all have our ups and downs in life. Just take care of yourself and it was indeed an amazing experience playing your VN. Be safe now and have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. Thank you for everything :D

Sadly not because I still have plans to publish this story in other formats. If it weren’t for that, I wouldn’t mind sharing it with someone who has the time to do it
Thank you the vn/story. Sad to see this vn go. I tried so hard to get it for Android and when I found a site who kept updating it with the dev, I find it's being abandoned.
It's sad but such is life. Enjoyed it while it lasted, tho I will play it few more times to enjoy it again.

People pay to get early access, that's it. A lot will being making this "mistake" on this site again. Just like 1,000+ people are paying for Eternum. It's just an unfortunate situation.
well actually, i own quite a number of complete itch.io games .. maybe your broke-ass is projecting too much.. and yes, i did mention that a lot of [stupid] ppl will be making this mistake again, what was your point in repeating me?
Lady here :) I worked on this avn for a year and a half using all my free time, which isn’t much since I work around 10 hours a day. The money I made through patreon barely covered a household bill and if you ask any of my patrons, you’ll see that my billing cycle has been paused for a year. This is because I was developing at a very slow pace due to my lack of free time, and I didn’t think it was fair to take money from people, even if it was a small amount.
If everyone thinks like you, no new avns will ever be created, and you’ll be left with updates from just 3 or 4 devs who can work on this full time. If you really like avns, I hope you change your mind
Aw, a few of the devs I follow have announced that they'll have to abandon or put a pause on their projects. I think this is the one I'm most bummed to see go.
That being said, it's unfortunate but life happens. Hopefully you'll one day be able to return to this, though! It's nice to know that even if that doesn't happen we'll at least learn about what was going to happen in the story with the other format you plan to publish.
