Forgotten Pathways V.0.2.2 - Changelog + Apology
Hi, everyone :)
As promised, here's V0.2.2 of Forgotten Pathways. I fixed typos and made quality adjustments.
I apologize for the delay. I am moving to another country and have had very little free time.
Changelog V.0.2.2
- 270 images were replaced in Chapter 1, with the most impacted parts being:
- conversation with Dan and Nina about Sirione
- cocktail on the first day of school - Several bugs and typos were fixed, all in Chapter 1.
- Tracy's profession changed (from prostitute to stripper, with no impact on the story)
Regarding image replacement
I made changes to adjust scene angles, lighting, framing, and color grading. I tried not to change the poses too much to maintain the essence of Chapter 1. The adjustments aimed to improve the overall image quality and make the game more harmonious with the style I'm gradually developing.
An example of replacement:
There are no changes in dialogues or anything relevant to the story. Regarding bug and typo correction, thanks to those who have helped me, whether by encouraging me or by pointing out every error in detail (especially: Ignaciop, Zemax, Edwardfmp, and MusicMan).
About Tracy's profession
Some people complained to me about Tracy being a prostitute and this information not having a prior warning. Yes, I messed up. I've already responded to each comment on this topic, apologizing for it, and I make the apology public to everyone.
The truth is, I got so immersed in the original narrative (which is already finished and initially wasn't going to be turned into a VN) that I ended up forgetting to adjust this. Anyway, I added the prostitution tag to the game description (although prostitution is not a theme in Forgotten Pathways), changed Tracy's profession to a stripper (suggested by Tiur, thank you), and added this spoiler to a PDF file with general information about the game.
In addition to this information, I took the opportunity to give some light spoilers and provide more context so that people interested in playing the game know what to expect, as Forgotten Pathways deviates from some harem VN standards (and will continue to do so).

Personally i didn't mind that i didn't know about the 2nd profession of Tracy and it actually made her story more real so i'm surprised people found fault on this missing information, is like wanting to know everything about a game before even starting to play it, where's the fun, the discovery?

Hi! Thank you for your comment. It's good to know that some people think the same way =) In my view, the best part is the discoveries throughout the story. And her second profession is consistent with her life situation. Since the story was written in a novel format, there was no problem with this revelation. Unfortunately, when adapting it into a VN, I need to take extra care.
I believe the biggest issue for people is the fact that she is a prostitute, which reduces her value as LI for many, and also there wasn't a prostitution tag. The tag didn't exist because it's not a theme of the VN, and her profession is only briefly mentioned as a story element. I don't care about it, but it's a sensitive topic for many. Since I received a considerable amount of feedback related to this and as these small adjustments wouldn't impact the story, I decided to accept some suggestions.
Yea i agree with what you said, i think it was completely fine story wise and it didn't disturb me in any way that she was a prostitute, since i though of her more as an escort, which are basically the same things but not xD
But again, if a lot of people were having issue with that, it's cool you adapted for them by chaning little details.
P.S: I discovered your AVN like 1 week ago and it was really good! Once i will be able to i will try to support you on patreon or here :)
It's funny because I also think of her as an escort. I guess I also don't mind because she's someone who doesn't like her reality.
